Girls have already begun to join Cub Scouts, and beginning on 2019, they will also be allowed to join the Boy Scouts. Accordingly, the name of the organization is being changed to Scouts BSA. Girls will have every opportunity that the boys have up to and including earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
Meanwhile, the Girl Scouts continues to operate as girls-only.
